１３５ミリレンズの凋落なーんて書いてしまうと、さんざんカメラ本で語られた題材であるが、小口径のアウト・フィットをコストを含めて考えるとこの Elmarit-R 135mm/f2.8 は、お買い得だなぁと思ってしまう。描写はおとなしいが、きれいなトーンを出し、普通に撮るのであればなにも Apo だの大口径はいらないんだと思わせてしまう。さらに、格安の Extender ×２ なんかと合わせると２７０ｍｍ／ｆ５．６となるのだから、よけいに食指が動く。

最新鋭のＲ８に大口径 Apo レンズを買うつもりで、実は他のＲボディ、２８ミリ、５０ミリ、１３５ミリ位揃えられるからこれは有難い。

It was well received as an 'extremely' long telephoto lense when the first 135mm was introduced. Together with 28mm, 135mm was a symbol of being a camera enthusiast. Now the longer focal length lenses are available such as 180mm, the roll of this focal length seemed to be eliminated, however, if you desire for the out-fit as light as possible, yet you need to have a maximum capability of the range of focal length, this is the one which you should consider. It will reach to 270mm/f5.6 with Extender-R 2X. Don't you think it is cool?

フードは内蔵されている。また写真のレンズ・キャップは被せ式の純正品番１４０８９（ちなみに、Fisheye-Elmarit-R 16mm/f2.8 と共通）ではないが、フィルター使用時には被せ式のレンズ・キャップよりしっかり嵌められるという理由で、品番１４２８９、φ５５ミリのキャップを付けている。

テストレポートでも「優秀」の折り紙が付いているにもかかわらず、格安物として売られている事が多く不遇を囲っているＲレンズの代表であろう。しっかりものの「御婦人」という風情が感じられる。

写真のレンズは後期型で、前期型との違いは後玉が凹面になっているのが前期型、逆に凸面になっているのが後期型である。性能の差はわからないが、後期型の方がイイという人もいる。

This lense falls into the category ofthe later version of 135mm/f2.8, the easiest part to identify the later model is to look at the rear element of the lense which has a concaved surface that distinguishes from earlier model which has a convex surface.

Built-in hood, original lense-cap is #14089 but above picture shows #14289 which has more capability when using with a filter.
